About Us
Fondest greetings!
If you are reading this, and I have reason to believe that you are, you have stumbled upon the awesomest community of computer musicians in and/or around Boston. Digital Musicians Boston is a group of Bostonians (and trespassers form the neighboring cities, who don’t think we notice, but we do) who are passionate about making music with computers. We use DAWs, soft synths, effects, monomes (whatever those are), and who knows what else? We track, mix, master, synthesize, equalize, modulate, convolve, and a whole bunch of other things we should probably tell our doctors about. And we gather about once a month to share our war stories and receive wisdom from others. Some would say we’re kind of like a user group, but in truth, we’re much, much more awesome*.
Hear you soon!
* Ok, we are a user group.

Hey there. I came across your website when looking for local audio/music producers around the Boston area.
I’m currently a sophomore at Champlain College, majoring in Broadcast Film & Streaming Media. As a final project for one of my classes, I have decided to make a short 5-10 minute video on a passion of mine, music production.
Do you still conduct monthly meetings? If so, I’d like to come to the next one to conduct filming and possibly interview a producer or two. Please let me know if this is possible.
Thanks!
-Ben Heitmann
Hey Ben,
Yes we meet every month, I think we are about to post some Jan & Feb meeting details on the site here soon.
Sounds like a cool project, I would think there are quite a few people who might be interested in helping you with filming.
Yev… maybe we should have a lighting-talk session sometime in the new year where a small group of people could talk about the way they produce music for 5 min.
Maybe showing a cool technique in a music app, or a neat piece of gear they want to demo?
Lighting-rounds could be fun, and would be easy to make short clips of for Ben.
